North Maidstone Kindergarten Facilities Upgrade

Paperarc was engaged by the City of Maribyrnong to deliver a carefully staged refurbishment of the busy one-room North Maidstone Kindergarten, located at 145 Mitchell Street, Maidstone. With the centre in use by two separate services throughout the week, the demolition and construction works needed to be carefully planned over two school holiday periods to ensure minimal disruption to the parents and children who use the centre.

The project included a full upgrade of the children’s toilets and the centre kitchen, providing modern, functional, and safe spaces for both staff and students. A new accessible-compliant entrance ramp was also installed, improving circulation, pram access, and inclusivity for families visiting the centre.

These upgrades support the kindergarten’s play-based, child-centered program, ensuring that the environment is as welcoming, supervised, and engaging as the learning experiences it fosters.
