Education & Community Work

Managing complex projects that require a high level of stakeholder engagement, time and cost planning, and authority approvals is a breeze for us. Our team have a huge amount of experience in the design of community buildings, including schools, sports pavilions, amenities, early learning centres, and religious buildings including Buddhist monasteries. We love working with not-for-profit organisations and government organisations including Council’s, helping them to realise their project vision successfully.

Our passion for public and commercial projects runs deeper than just the final building design and form, we have a strong desire to produce architecture that supports it’s local community in a positive and meaningful way. We design buildings that consider the experience of the building users from all angles, and we are passionate about making our designs welcoming, inclusive and sustainable and healthy.

All our designs evolve through a detailed and responsive consultation process that begins with an identification of stakeholders and the creation of a consultation plan. We are comfortable running public community information evenings, preschool workshops and everything in between.

We can support you to make your building as inclusive as possible, above and beyond the minimum requirements set out in the codes and standards. We assess all our public and commercial buildings against the 7 principles of Universal Design. Speak to us if you are considering installing a Changing Places bathroom in your building – we would love to help you.

All our buildings use the principles of sustainability in their design and construction within the constraints of your budget, but if you are seeking something more we would love to assist with getting your building certified by a sustainable rating tool such as Green Star, BESS, NatHERS and Passivhaus.
