Church Street Children’s Centre – Entrance Upgrades

Paperarc was engaged by the City of Maribyrnon g to improve accessibility and amenity at the entrance to the Church Street Children’s Centre, a busy community hub in West Footscray. The brief called for a new entrance canopy that would provide weather protection for families arriving and departing, while blending seamlessly with the existing architecture of the relatively new facility.

Our design draws on the same materials and colours as the original building, the green powdercoat finishes and timber-look cladding, to create a cohesive and welcoming entry point that feels part of the original design. Careful planning was required to navigate a network of underground services in the area, ensuring the new structure could be built efficiently and safely.

Now complete, the new canopy enhances the arrival experience for children, families, and staff, making drop-off and pick-up easier, safer, and more comfortable in all weather conditions.
